Valve Shows How to Interact with Home Chickens in CS2
Valve has released a new video dedicated to pet chickens in Counter-Strike 2. The developers showcased how players can interact with their little companions following the introduction of this feature in a recent update.
Chickens have become a form of pet in CS2 following a recent update. Players can obtain an egg through the Weekly Drop, which eventually hatches into a chick. In the new video, Valve demonstrated close-up interactions, showing that players can pick up, examine, and pet their pets.
Additionally, chicks can be fed with special food, allowing them to grow into adult chickens. The game offers over 30 cosmetic variations, including various breeds and color options. A special Hatchbook has also been added, enabling players to store photos and maintain a collection of their pets.
The introduction of pet chickens was a surprise to the community, as Valve did not initially mention this feature in the official patch notes. The mechanic was discovered after the update was released, once users started receiving Chicken Eggs in their Weekly Drop. Now, chickens in CS2 are more than just map decorations; they are companions that players can raise, care for, and collect in different appearances.
