Players discover how to manipulate VALORANT’s performance rating
VALORANT players have discovered a way to artificially inflate their Performance Rating after a match. The method is straightforward and requires no special software, only the use of specific agent abilities.
To boost their rating, players can repeatedly deploy and then immediately retrieve abilities before a round begins. The system appears to count each of these actions as a full ability use, increasing the player’s final rating without affecting the actual round. Abilities such as Cypher’s Cyber Cage and Killjoy’s Nanoswarm are among those that can reproduce this bug.

The Performance Rating system was introduced to VALORANT on September 22, 2026, with Patch 13.06, replacing the previous ACS. The system rates a player’s contribution on a scale from 0 to 500, factoring in kills, damage, and other match statistics. This rating also determines the MVP and each player’s position on the scoreboard. Developers have stated they will investigate and fix the incorrect calculation.
