Editorial Policy
Principles for preparing, verifying, labelling, and correcting editorial content.
Independence and integrity
Editorial content is prepared based on news value, audience relevance, and internal editorial judgement. Commercial arrangements must not dictate editorial conclusions, the factual substance of reviews, or the final tone of analytical pieces.
Fact-checking and sourcing
- we aim to verify key facts against primary sources, official statements, and documents;
- reviews and opinion pieces may contain editorial judgement, but value judgements should not be presented as confirmed fact;
- if a story relies on rumours, leaks, or unverified reports, that should be stated clearly.
Corrections and updates
When a material error, inaccuracy, or outdated passage is identified, the editorial team may update the article, clarify the facts, or revise the headline. For substantial revisions, we recommend maintaining a clear update history inside the article.
Advertising and partner content
Commercially produced materials must be labelled separately. For the Russian market, online advertising placements should comply with Federal Law No. 38-FZ “On Advertising”, including mandatory labelling and data transmission where required by law.
