Throne and Liberty: How to Prepare for The Frozen Divide: Nix Expansion (June 2026 Guide)
The Frozen Divide: Nix launches June 25, 2026 — the biggest Throne and Liberty expansion yet with a new region, level 60, Gauntlets weapon and new dungeons. You have three weeks to prepare.
The Nix expansion brings a significant content jump: a new massive region, a new level cap of 60, stronger gear, and several new mechanics. To avoid being underprepared at launch, systematize your character development now.
1. Complete the Current Adventure Codex
Before heading to Nix, finish the current Adventure Codex. It not only gives rewards but provides the lore context needed to understand Nix's story.
2. Optimize Your Gear Before the Patch
The new expansion brings stronger gear, but entering content requires a minimum gear threshold. Make sure your current gear is as upgraded as possible — this ensures a comfortable start in Nix.
3. Learn the New Weapon: Gauntlets
Gauntlets are a Tank/DPS hybrid. Key features:
— Close range, aggressive play style
— Built-in survivability mechanics
— Flexible between Tank and DPS roles depending on your build
If you want to start Nix with Gauntlets, familiarize yourself with the weapon's basic mechanics before June 25 — check test servers if they open.
4. Prepare for New Traversal Mechanics
Nix introduces Aethersuit (gliding) and Auroral Path (sky-riding). Both unlock immediately when the region opens — no special prep needed, but knowing they exist helps when first exploring the map.
5. Form a Guild / Group in Advance
New Nix dungeons are cooperative. If you don't have a steady group yet — now is the best time to find one. Expansion launches are always chaotic, and having a reliable team makes new content significantly smoother.
What to Expect Post-Launch
In August, additional challenges arrive: a new Colossus encounter, Castle Siege improvements, and Tax Delivery updates. Plan for long-term progression — Nix is a beginning, not an end.
