Thermaltake launches AW series AIO liquid coolers for workstations
Thermaltake has expanded its lineup of high-performance cooling solutions with the introduction of the AW series, specifically designed for workstation-class CPUs. The new release includes two All-In-One (AIO) liquid cooler models, the AW360 and the AW420, aimed at handling the high thermal loads of professional-grade processors.
Workstation-focused cooling with high static pressure fans
The AW series is engineered to support high-TDP workstation platforms, specifically offering compatibility for Intel LGA4710 and LGA4677 sockets, as well as AMD sTR5 and SP6. To manage the intense heat generated by these CPUs, Thermaltake has equipped both models with their high-performance TOUGHFAN Pro series fans, which are optimized for high static pressure to ensure efficient airflow through dense radiator fins.
The cooling block features a large copper baseplate with nickel plating to enhance thermal contact. Additionally, the pump utilizes a 3-phase, 6-pin motor designed to maintain stable water flow and efficient coolant circulation within the loop.
Model specifications and pricing
The lineup consists of two distinct configurations based on radiator size:
- AW360 All-In-One Liquid Cooler System (CL-W450-PL12BL-A): This model features a 360mm radiator (396 × 120 × 27 mm) and is equipped with three 120mm TOUGHFAN 12 Pro fans. Each fan operates between 500 and 2,000 rpm, delivering 70.8 CFM of airflow and 3.19 mmH2O of static pressure, with a noise level of 22.6 dBA.
- AW420 All-In-One Liquid Cooler System (CL-W445-PL14BL-A): This larger version uses a 420mm radiator (456 × 138.5 × 27 mm) and comes with three 140mm TOUGHFAN 14 Pro fans. These fans reach speeds of up to 2,000 rpm, providing 119.6 CFM of airflow and 3.57 mmH2O of static pressure, with a noise level of 31.6 dBA.
According to listings on Amazon.co.jp, the AW360 is priced at ¥75,738, while the AW420 is available for ¥80,788.
