T1 Esports Academy crowned champions of World Star Challengers Invitational 2026
T1 Esports Academy have claimed the World Star Challengers Invitational 2026 title after defeating Solary 3:2 in a dramatic grand final. The Korean academy squad completed a comeback after falling behind twice, securing the championship and the $20,000 first-place prize.
The grand final began with a convincing 27:12 victory for T1 Esports Academy in Game 1. However, Solary responded emphatically, dominating the second map 29:6 and following it up with a 27:2 win in the third game to take a 2:1 lead in the series.
Facing elimination, T1 Esports Academy fought back in Game 4 with a 17:4 victory, forcing a deciding fifth map. The Korean side maintained their momentum in the final game, defeating Solary 22:6 in just over 24 minutes to secure the 3:2 series win and the tournament trophy.
Eclipse was named the Finals MVP for his standout performance. He finished the series with a 4.9/3.4/6.2 K/D/A, a 75.6% kill participation, and an average of 19.3K damage per game.
