Rumors: GIANTX to Retain Coaching Staff Ahead of LEC 2027
According to reports from Sheep Esports, GIANTX plans to extend the contracts of several coaching staff members ahead of the LEC 2027 season. The organization is expected to retain Rúben "rhuckz" Barbosa, Nubar "Maxlore" Sarafian, and Kamil "Samulek" Samulewski.
This move ensures continuity within the team's leadership. Following previous reports regarding head coach André "Guilhoto" Pereira Guilhoto, the organization is set to keep its entire current coaching staff intact. This will mark Guilhoto's third consecutive year with the club.
While the coaching staff remains stable, the active roster is expected to undergo major changes. Sources suggest that Adam "Jackies" Jeřábek and Yoon "Jun" Se-jun are likely to join Team Heretics in 2027. With all current GIANTX player contracts expiring this November, the organization reportedly intends to take a conservative approach to roster spending during the upcoming off-season.
Looking back at the 2026 campaign, GIANTX secured two fourth-place finishes at LEC 2026 Versus and LEC 2026 Spring, followed by a sixth-place finish in the summer split, which prevented them from qualifying for the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026.
