Sugar Lies launches in late 2026 for PC, in spring 2027 for Switch
The romance visual novel Sugar Lies is set to launch in late 2026 on PC via Steam, followed by a release on Nintendo Switch in spring 2027, according to Kogado Studio.
Accompanying the announcement is a new trailer featuring the opening theme song, "Truth or Lies." The track was composed by Raito and performed by voice actresses Ikumi Hasegawa and Hikaru Iida.
The story follows Akito Nagatsuki, a young man who feels physically repulsed by lies, and Yui Sakuramiya, a girl who has mastered the art of playing the role of her ideal self. The game is described as a short, summer-themed boy-meets-girl visual novel.
Key details confirmed so far include:
- Platforms: PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
- Languages: English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
- Pricing: 2,860 yen on PC; a physical edition for Switch will be available in Japan for 4,000 yen.
The game is being developed by Team S:OWLS with planning by Kawasyonin49. Character designs are handled by Ringopann and Omoti.
