PlayStation Plus August Lineup: Three Different Uses of Company and Solitude
PlayStation Plus members can add Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis from August 4 through August 31, 2026. The connection is not genre but three different ways of controlling another person’s presence in play.
Dying Light 2: Cooperation as Insurance
Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition is listed for PS5 and PS4. Its city can be explored alone or in cooperative play for up to four players, giving a group a substantial shared project rather than one short session.
Company reduces the cost of mistakes in combat and exploration while preserving the host’s world decisions. It is cooperation organized around progression, equipment, and routes through the city.
Big Walk: Communication Becomes the Mechanic
Big Walk is listed for PS5. The cooperative adventure asks players to solve challenges, use tools, and remain in contact. The way a group communicates is part of the design itself.
When ordinary speech is suddenly unavailable, players need to invent another method. Friends do not merely make the game easier; without them, the central premise disappears.
Signalis: The Value of Solitude
Signalis is listed for PS4. Elster searches a surreal retrotech world for her lost partner, facing puzzles, limited resources, and nightmarish creatures.
After two cooperative games, Signalis deliberately restores solitary tension. The absence of a partner supports the atmosphere, and one person must own every ammunition and route decision.
The Platform Lists Do Not Match
Dying Light 2 is listed for PS5 and PS4, Big Walk only for PS5, and Signalis for PS4. A PS4 owner therefore gets two of the three listed products, while Big Walk requires the newer console.
That matters more than a genre comparison. Sony notes that monthly lineups may differ by region, so members should verify their local product pages on release day.
Why the Claim Window Matters
All three games can be added from August 4 through August 31. Once claimed, they remain in the library, although play requires an active subscription with access to monthly games.
Claiming does not require downloading every game immediately. Members can secure the licenses in the library and install later, which matters when console storage is limited.
There is no universal play order. A regular group can begin with Dying Light 2, a single gathering can test Big Walk, and a solo player can make Signalis the focused shorter project.
The lineup forms a ladder of social intensity: long-form cooperative action, an adventure explicitly about communication, and solitary survival horror. Sources: PlayStation Blog; Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Choosing the First Install
When storage is limited, choose around the next real play scenario rather than abstract value. Dying Light 2 asks for time and a regular group, Big Walk benefits from a planned gathering, and Signalis fits focused solo sessions.
That reduces the chance of a large download sitting untouched. Claim all three during the availability window; installation order does not remove the option to return while the required subscription remains active.
