NVIDIA confirms RTX Spark N1X specs, launching next month
NVIDIA has officially published the specifications for its RTX Spark N1X platform, confirming the two distinct configurations that VideoCardz reported on in May. The full chip combines a 20-core "Grace" CPU with a "Blackwell" GPU featuring 6,144 CUDA cores, while the second version uses an 18-core CPU and 5,120 CUDA cores. NVIDIA also confirmed that RTX Spark systems will begin shipping in October 2026.
The official specifications validate the preliminary data that VideoCardz shared earlier this year. At the time, sources indicated that the full N1X would feature 48 Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs), corresponding to 6,144 CUDA cores, while the smaller model would have 40 SMs and 5,120 CUDA cores. Both chips were reported to operate within a 45W to 80W power range, a figure that NVIDIA has now confirmed for its laptop configurations.
Memory configurations differ significantly between the two tiers. The 6,144-core model supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory, offering substantial headroom for professional workloads. In contrast, the 5,120-core model is limited to 24GB or 32GB of memory. NVIDIA has also listed a desktop variant that utilizes the full 20-core and 6,144-CUDA configuration. This desktop version features a higher 140W TDP and supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, though it is positioned as a Mini-PC or mini-workstation rather than a traditional tower desktop.
Both versions of the RTX Spark N1X support fourth-generation RT cores, fifth-generation Tensor cores, DLSS 5, Reflex 2, DirectX 12 Ultimate, and PCI Express Gen 5. The platform runs on Windows 11, aligning with NVIDIA's broader strategy to integrate its ARM-based Grace architecture with its latest Blackwell graphics technology in a unified package.
Despite the official confirmation, some details remain undisclosed. NVIDIA has not revealed the exact CPU core split, the specific PCIe lane count, or the memory channel configuration. Additionally, there is a discrepancy regarding the maximum memory for the smaller model: NVIDIA's current product page lists a 64GB maximum for the 5,120-core version, whereas the preliminary information suggested a 128GB maximum. The specific model names N1X 675 and N1X 650 are also not currently used on NVIDIA's official product page.
The launch of the RTX Spark platform marks a significant step for NVIDIA in the high-performance computing and professional workstation market. By combining the efficiency of the Grace CPU with the raw power of the Blackwell GPU, NVIDIA is targeting users who require high computational density in a compact form factor. The October 2026 shipping date suggests that the platform will be available just in time for the holiday season, potentially competing with other high-end ARM-based solutions in the professional sector.
