Nongshim RedForce vs BNK PeerEx Play-In Showdown
Nongshim RedForce and BNK PeerEx are set to clash in the first round of the LCK Play-In tournament at the LCK Arena in Seoul on August 27. The winner will advance to face Hanjin Breon, while the loser will be eliminated from the 2026 season.
Both teams finished the regular season with a record of 10 wins and 16 losses, but Nongshim secured the second seed due to a better goal difference. The RedForce have been on an upward trend recently, winning their last three matches to finish with a 5-3 record, whereas BNK ended the regular season at 4-4.
The rivalry between these two teams carries significant history. Following a major trade in April where bottom laners Diablo (Nam Da-geun) and Tae-yoon (Kim Tae-yoon) swapped jerseys, the teams have met three times since. Nongshim RedForce currently leads the head-to-head record 3-1.
The stakes for this best-of-five series are high: the losing team will be sent home immediately, ending their campaign early, while the victor moves forward to challenge Hanjin Breon in the next round.
