Dplus KIA's 'Smash' Shin Geum-jae Wins LCK Rookie of the Year
Dplus KIA star Shin Geum-jae has been named the LCK Rookie of the Season, edging out his teammate "Career" Oh Hyeong-seok in a decisive internal vote.
The award was decided through a ballot involving over 40 industry professionals, including team coaches, star players, and media analysts. Shin Geum-jae secured the honor with 176 points, narrowly defeating his own squadmate Oh Hyeong-seok in what effectively became an internal competition.
Originally a promising prospect for T1, Shin Geum-jae transferred to Dplus KIA ahead of this season. Since joining the roster, he has established himself as a key starter and played a pivotal role in leading his team into the Playoffs.
The Dplus KIA organization finished the regular season with a record of 17 wins and 9 losses, securing the fourth spot to advance to the first round of the playoffs.
