NIP fail to sign LNZ from MIBR

Ninjas in Pyjamas have failed to secure a new in-game leader from MIBR after the organization rejected an offer for Linus "LNZ" Holtäng.

According to reports from Dust2 Brasil and HLTV, MIBR declined NIP's proposal to acquire Swedish IGL Linus "LNZ" Holtäng. The move comes as both organizations appear to be moving in different directions: NIP is seeking a replacement for Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, while LNZ has expressed a preference to remain with his current Brazilian squad.

LNZ joined MIBR in January 2026 alongside Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo and coach Nestor "LETN1" Tanić as part of the team's rebuild following a difficult end to 2025. Since joining, the roster has shown promise, reaching the top four at the CS Asia Championship before exiting early at the IEM Cologne Major. This season, they qualified for StarLadder StarSeries Fall and finished in the group stage at EWC 2026.

Meanwhile, NIP's search for a new leader will continue after Snappi's tenure of over a year and a half ended without significant success in tier-one events. With LNZ staying put and Tomas "tomaszin" Corna rumored to join the lineup, MIBR is set to field Felipe "insani" Yuji, Linus "LNZ" Holtäng, Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo, Lucas "nqz" Soares, and Tomas "tomaszin" Corna under the guidance of coach Nestor "LETN1" Tanić.
