Fisher College CS2 roster disbands as players pursue new paths

The decision marks the end of an era for the team following a highly successful Spring semester. During that period, the squad finished second at both FRAG York 2026 and FRAG 20, while also securing a historic qualification for the S-tier event PGL Astana 2026. Fisher College became the first collegiate organization to compete at an S-tier tournament, achieving significant milestones before the summer break.

The dissolution stems from diverging goals among the players. European members returned home for the summer, while American roster member Tommy "corn" Eckhart exited the team upon graduating. The remaining players sought new challenges, with some looking to join other organizations or play different roles within the game.

Milan "CrePoW" Libbrecht was the first to find a new home, announcing his move to DETONATE to replace the recently departed Arush "arush" Kumra. CrePoW explained that he voted to end the wider Fisher College project to try out as an AWPer and to start fresh with new players and leadership. He is set to make his LAN debut with DETONATE this weekend at FRAG Midwest: St. Louis.

Nils "ReFuZR" Groot echoed similar sentiments, describing the split as a "natural progression" driven by different ideas and goals for CS2. The team will continue to collaborate only when required for their collegiate commitments.

Meanwhile, Fisher College's new roster under the banner of CrePoW has been revealed. The squad consists of Austin "chante" Ganster, Matthew "tatm" Munro, Timothy "carN" Adams, Max "Maxuel" Barutt, and the aforementioned CrePoW. Leroy "OrangeZ" Burns serves as the coach, while Aidan "Feral" Wood is currently inactive.

The new iteration of the team will be in action tonight at 09:00 PM against Villainous in the lower bracket of the first ESL Challenger League Season 52 Cup.
