MLBB Patch 2.2.20: Xavier and Lunox Buffed, Gloo Nerfed
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang patch 2.2.20 has arrived on the test server, bringing significant balance adjustments to several heroes. The update strengthens Xavier and Lunox, while weakening Gloo, Eudora, Rafaela, and Belerick. Additionally, Hirara, Masha, and Freya receive mixed changes, and specific adjustments are made to the classic versions of Zilong and Akai.
Hero Buffs and Nerfs
The most notable buffs in this patch go to Xavier and Lunox. Xavier receives a significant boost to his passive skill, with the movement speed bonus increasing from 50% to 60% and the bonus now decreasing more slowly. His second skill also sees a major damage increase, with the Mystic Field damage doubling from 220-345 to 440-690, plus a bug fix ensuring the field damage correctly activates the passive movement speed bonus. Direct damage from the Mystic Barrier has been removed.
Lunox gains immediate 10% magic penetration when shifting balance towards Order Energy and 10% health regeneration from abilities when shifting towards Chaos Energy. Her second skill, Chaos Energy, receives increased percentage damage, while her ultimate, Chaos Energy, has its dash preparation time reduced by 50%, though the damage to nearby enemies after the dash has been removed.
On the nerf side, Gloo sees a reduction in the immobilization duration of his first skill from 0.8s to 0.6s. His ultimate also receives a nerf, with health regeneration reduced from 20%-30% to a flat 20%, and the damage transfer ratio lowered from 80% to 60%. Eudora's ultimate damage is reduced in both the central and outer areas. Rafaela faces a cooldown increase on her first skill and a reduced movement speed bonus from her second skill. Belerick's first skill cooldown is increased, as developers found its usage frequency too high.
Mixed Adjustments and Classic Hero Changes
Hirara receives a mixed update, with a cooldown increase on his first skill but a damage increase on his second skill. Masha's passive ability is adjusted to scale more significantly with her level, changing the bonus from additional physical attack and increasing the growth per level. Freya gains a new effect on her passive skill, where using the Sacred Orb causes the next basic attack to restore HP. However, her ultimate receives a significant cooldown increase, the removal of health restoration from basic attacks during the ultimate, and the addition of a movement speed bonus while the ultimate is active.
The classic versions of Zilong and Akai also receive specific changes. Classic Zilong is nerfed, with reduced enhanced basic attack damage and a significant cooldown increase on his ultimate. Classic Akai is buffed, with increased additional basic attack damage from max health, increased damage from max health on his second skill, and an increased frequency of knocking back opponents with his ultimate.
These changes in patch 2.2.20 are currently being tested on the Advanced Server and may be adjusted before a potential release on the main server.
