Valve deployed an Mistfall Hunter live update on August 19 at 08:00 UTC+0. The patch focuses on class balancing, controller enhancements, and resolving server-side performance issues reported by players.
Class Balance and Combat Adjustments
The update introduces significant changes to all classes:
Mercenary: Reduced stagger duration from [Perfect Block], increased energy cost for [Perfect Defense] in solo mode, and lowered shield value from [Block Damage Boost]. Cooldowns adjusted for skills like [Shockwave Strike], [Whirling Cut (Dash)], [Stacked Slash], [Stonebreaker Slash], [Shield Slam], and [Whirling Cut (Block)] in trio mode. Fixed issues with hammer cooldown reduction after revival, [Block Damage Boost] persistence on weapon switch, and skill chaining after [Impalement].
Withered Knight: Increased movement distance for the first light strike with a Greatsword, as well as for skills [Opportunistic Thrust], [Pursuit], and [Sprinting Slash]. Added Super Armor during heavy strike animation when fully charged. Reduced cooldowns for [Parry] and [Breakthrough Charge], increased projectile speed for [Withering Mark] (now applies slow and reduces dodge distance). Talent [Joint Pierce] now reduces enemy dodge distance on hit. Lowered energy cost and cooldown for [Radiant Retribution].
Shadowstrix: Added wind-up animation to [Free Movement] talent. Fixed i-frame issues with [Lightweight] via dodge, Super Armor performance for [Teleport Blessing], interrupt action trigger for [Blade Dance], and direction changes for aerial heavy strikes.
Sorcerer: Fixed [Thunder Roar] talent failure after revival.
Seer: Resolved Super Armor Clash issues when two Blasphemers fight under [Ferocity]'s Zeal state.
Controller Improvements
For controller users, the update optimizes quick operations during Star Silver refinement, adds a new "Favorite" function, and introduces unique vibration feedback for fall damage.
Critical Fixes
Server-side frame rate monitoring has been implemented to address performance hiccups caused by actions like refreshing chimes or treasure chests. Additional fixes include Smuggler Woodling spawn errors post-Soul Harvest, abnormal Gyldening DMG calculations, missing Soulgnawer textures, and progression tracking issues with The Divine Endowment task.
