miHoYo announces 'realistic fantasy action game' Nodusfall
miHoYo has officially announced Nodusfall, a new multi-mythology cooperative action game built on Unreal Engine 5. The title was revealed during the opening night live event at Gamescom 2026, where the publisher showcased its vision for a realistic fantasy world where divine authority has crumbled.
Nodusfall invites players to step into the role of Weavers, beings enlightened by the divine and entrusted with sacred missions. In a setting where order has collapsed, these heroes must forge bonds with powerful companions to stand against earth-shattering foes. The core gameplay loop focuses on cooperative combat, requiring teamwork and tactical flexibility to defeat formidable adversaries.

The game draws inspiration from diverse mythological traditions across the globe, creating a self-contained fantasy world with its own unique logic. The narrative centers on the arrival of the mysterious Dreadnodi, which spread corruption and twisted legendary creatures into harbingers of calamity. Players will descend into this broken world to sever the Dreadnodi at their roots and restore order.

Tactical depth is a key feature, allowing players to select different Styles and Skill combinations for their characters. This system enables countless tactical approaches tailored to the flow of battle. Defeating powerful mythical creatures yields resources needed to unlock new abilities and weapons, further enhancing builds and expanding options.

The announcement included a reveal trailer titled "Wield Divinity, Sever the Dreadnodus" and a gallery of first screenshots. While the game is confirmed to be in development on Unreal Engine 5, specific release dates and platform availability were not announced at this time.
