Elden Ring на Switch 2 работает лучше, чем ожидалось, но имеет недостатки

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has arrived on the Nintendo Switch 2, and after spending roughly ten hours exploring the Weeping Peninsula, Stormveil Castle, and Liurnia of the Lakes, Senior Guides Writer Kelsey Raynor reports that the experience is largely better than anticipated. While the game runs at a stable 30 FPS in docked mode with only minor frame drops during high-mobility sequences, the transition from PC's smooth 60 FPS feels initially jarring due to button layout changes and input latency. However, once players adapt to the 'thick air' of the Lands Between, the combat flows well enough for most encounters, including fights against Margit and Godrick.

The primary adjustment required for newcomers or returning players is getting used to the Switch 2's control scheme. Raynor notes that pressing 'A' to dodge and 'X' to interact feels alien compared to the standard PC/Xbox controller mapping, despite the buttons being in similar physical positions on the Joy-Cons. Aside from a few instances of frame drops while sprinting through Liurnia to track down the Academy Glintstone Key, the visual fidelity remains near-parity with the PC version.

Performance issues were most noticeable during the encounter with the Red Wolf of Radagon. This agile boss, who jumps and lunges while conjuring magical sword attacks, caused significant frame drops when its ranged weapon art was active. These drops made dodging difficult at times, forcing Raynor to rely on the Reduvia Dagger's ranged weapon art to maintain a safe distance. In contrast, subsequent bosses like Rennala were fought smoothly, suggesting that the engine handles slower-paced encounters without issue.

Looking ahead, there is concern regarding how the console will handle later bosses and the upcoming DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. Raynor fears that if the Red Wolf was a challenge, bosses like Divine Beast Dancing Lion and Messmer the Impaler could cause similar stutters. The biggest worry lies with the final boss of the DLC, Promised Consort Radahn. Given that even high-end PCs struggled to keep up with the Gravity attacks during this fight, there is uncertainty about whether the Switch 2 can maintain stability during such a demanding encounter.

Despite these reservations, Raynor plans to see the game through to the end, noting that the Tarnished Edition introduces two new Starting Classes, one of which includes a new Light Greatsword. The hope is that the promising start achieved so far will hold up as players progress toward becoming Elden Lord once more on Nintendo's latest handheld.
