MIBR eliminates NRG from StarLadder StarSeries Fall
MIBR defeated NRG 2-0 in an elimination match at StarLadder StarSeries Fall. The loss leaves the North American side in 5th-6th place, ending their participation in the event.
The series opened on NRG's pick, Cache. After winning the CT pistol round, MIBR jumped to a quick 4-0 lead. Although NRG responded with a seven-round streak to close the gap to 5-7, MIBR capitalized on several man-advantage misplays from their opponents to secure the map 13-7.
On Inferno, MIBR maintained their momentum, steamrolling NRG with nine consecutive rounds. Despite a brief response from NRG in the second half, MIBR dominated the map, closing it out 13-2 to complete the sweep.
With this 0-2 defeat, NRG finishes the tournament in 5th-6th place. The team now heads back to the United States for the iBUYPOWER Masters FML in Las Vegas, where they are scheduled to face Wildcard on September 25th.
