Marvelous announces RPG Eternal Anima for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC

Marvelous has officially announced Eternal Anima, a new RPG developed by genre veterans including director Katsuhisa Higuchi and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. The title, previously known as Project Life is RPG, will launch on March 4, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The game evokes the spirit of late 1990s and early 2000s JRPGs while introducing modern visuals and strategic twists on traditional turn-based gameplay. Set in the kingdom of Urvis Ael, where yearning for a better future is a capital offense, the story follows Wade. After questioning society's core tenets, he goes on an era-spanning adventure to save past civilizations from catastrophes and unravel hidden truths.

Combat features a tactical twist called Future Sight, allowing players to predict enemy actions and rewrite the future using Psychometry powers. Players can inherit abilities and classes of heroes from the past, combining them to create unique playstyles that challenge the flow of battle.
