Kirby and the World Beyond announced for Switch 2
Nintendo has officially announced Kirby and the World Beyond as a new title for the upcoming Switch 2, with a confirmed release window set for spring 2027.
The game, developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, is described as a 3D adventure where players can freely explore an expansive world. A key feature highlighted in the announcement is Kirby's ability to copy enemy powers, which can be utilized in various ways such as bomb jumps, climbing trees with a sword, or riding at high speeds across fields.

The narrative centers on rescuing a mysterious girl from King Dedede. The story promises to uncover mysteries regarding the girl's connection to Kirby's newfound powers and the reason behind a huge wall blocking Kirby's path. Players will discover what lies beyond this barrier during their journey.

Nintendo released an announcement trailer and a gallery of screenshots alongside the news. This title is expected to be a major addition to the Switch 2 library, continuing the franchise's legacy in a new dimension.
