LOUD and MIBR Defeat Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses at VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2
The second game day of the third week of the group stage for VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2 has concluded. LOUD defeated Cloud9, and MIBR overcame Evil Geniuses. All four teams will continue competing in the group stage, where the top two teams from each group will advance directly to the playoffs, while the rest will head to the Play-In.
LOUD vs Cloud9
The match began with a setback for the eventual winner: LOUD lost to their opponent on Haven (8:13). However, the team quickly turned the tide, taking control on Sunset (13:8) and Summit (13:8). The series ended with a 2-1 score in favor of LOUD.
The best player of the match was Lukka "lukxo" Travaioli, who finished with an ACS of 281, which is 25% higher than his average over the past six months. His performance allowed him to secure the win and close out the series for his team.
Evil Geniuses vs MIBR
MIBR demonstrated more consistent play, defeating Evil Geniuses on both maps. The team took the lead on Haven in a tight battle (14:12) and then closed out the series comfortably on Ascent with a score of 13-2. The final result was a 2-0 victory for MIBR.
The MVP of the match was Erick "aspas" Santos, who scored an ACS of 285, which is 26% higher than his average over the past six months. His high output proved decisive in the victory against the American collective.
VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2 is taking place from July 16 to September 7. The group stage features 12 teams, and the tournament prize pool is $250,000. The winner and runner-up will earn spots at VALORANT Champions Shanghai, while two more World Championship participants will be determined by Championship Points.
