Intel's 4-Xe3 Panther Lake handheld chip targets 8-25W TDP
Intel is expanding its Panther Lake handheld lineup with a new 4-Xe3 chip targeting an 8W to 25W TDP range, positioning it below the official Arc G3 family.
This new processor features eight CPU cores split between four Performance and four Low Power Efficient cores, eliminating standard E-cores. Its graphics configuration includes four Xe3 cores, a significant reduction from the 10 or 12 cores found in the Arc B370 and Arc B390.
For context, Intel’s official Arc G3 operates between 8W and 30W, while the Arc G3 Extreme extends to 35W; both carry 14 CPU cores and larger graphics configurations. The new handheld chip tops out at 25W, offering a distinct step down in core count compared to its predecessors.
Intel has not yet confirmed the official name for this processor or whether it will join the Arc G3 family. This leak suggests Intel is preparing a lower-power option for budget-friendly handheld devices.
