During the Swiss Stage of the League of Legends World Championship 2026, Hanwha Life Esports suffered a defeat against Invictus Gaming (iG). The loss moves the team to the 1–2 group.
The match, held in Texas, was defined by TheShy (Kang Seung-lok) and his impactful Kled play. Although Hanwha Life Esports managed to find openings in the early game and successfully executed a Baron strategy, they struggled to maintain control. A decisive turning point occurred at the 22-minute mark when the team lost a fight for the Infernal Dragon Soul. Following a massive play by Rookie (Song Ui-jin) on Annie that secured four kills, iG capitalized on the momentum to secure the victory and push Hanwha Life Esports into the lower bracket of the Swiss Stage.
