Fractal Design Launches Summit and Define One Cases
Fractal Design has expanded its PC case lineup with two new series: the Summit, focused on airflow, and the Define One, the first update to the Define line since 2020. Both chassis feature the brand’s signature Scandinavian aesthetic, including wood accents, curved edges, and neutral color options.
The Summit series prioritizes cooling performance with a perforated mesh front panel and enhanced support for high-end hardware. It offers six variants, allowing users to choose between black and white finishes, solid or glass side panels, and optional RGB lighting. The chassis measures 495 x 229 x 515mm (L x W x H) with an interior volume of 55.43L, accommodating E-ATX motherboards, graphics cards up to 425mm, CPU coolers up to 173mm, and power supplies up to 253mm. The design includes color-matched cable routing channels and support for back-connect motherboards to hide cabling.
Cooling options in the Summit include space for up to seven 120mm fans or five 140mm fans at the front, plus a 360mm radiator in the front and top, and a 120mm radiator at the rear. Three Momentum 14 fans with swept LCP blades and FDB bearings are pre-installed. The front I/O panel features two USB-A ports, one USB-C 20Gbps port, and an audio combo jack. Fractal has implemented tool-free mechanisms for the front and top mesh panels, fan brackets, side panels, PCIe cover, PSU bracket, and bottom dust filter to simplify the build process.
The Define One focuses on acoustic performance, replacing the Summit’s mesh front with sound-dampened panels. To maintain airflow, the sides of the front panel are perforated for air intake while reducing sound escape. Four variants are available in black or white, with either glass or solid side panels. Note that the Define One does not include a door for 5.25in drive bays, meaning it lacks optical drive support.
Measuring 482 x 235 x 500mm (L x W x H) with a 56.63L volume, the Define One supports E-ATX motherboards, graphics cards up to 368mm, CPU coolers up to 171mm, and power supplies up to 180mm. It allows for up to six 120mm fans or five 140mm fans, with radiator support for a 360mm unit in the front, a 280mm unit on top, and a 120mm unit at the rear. Three Momentum 14 fans are included. The front I/O includes two USB-C ports, one USB-C 20Gbps socket, and an audio combo jack, along with tool-less access and removable top/front fan brackets.
Beyond cases, Fractal Design announced the Refine 2 chair, featuring dual-pad lumbar support, lockable 4D armrests, and adjustable seat and headrest. It is available in six variants with black or white colors and fabric or mesh materials. The company also introduced the "Radius" AIO liquid cooler series, available in 240mm and 360mm sizes in black or white, including RGB versions. The Radius combines a copper cold plate, ceramic-bearing PWM pump, tube-integrated cabling, and pre-installed Dynamic 3 fans to simplify installation.
