Andrew "dvrk" Brunken and Nazar "H0NeST" Stefinko have both exited the regain roster, leaving the team with a significantly reduced core ahead of their upcoming NSTLGA League Season 2 debut.
Andrew "dvrk" Brunken announced his departure from regain on X, while Alexander "sasha" Burke confirmed to Dust2.us that Nazar "H0NeST" Stefinko has also left the lineup. The departures follow regain's recent performance at FRAG Midwest: St. Louis, where the team finished in 7th-8th place after losses to DETONATE and For Fun.
This result was a notable shift for the squad, as they were the second-highest ranked team in the event behind SportsBetExpert. The LAN finish contrasted with their recent online form, where regain won CROSSFIRE Season 5 in mid-July and suffered only two losses since adding H0NeST, both against Marsborne and Voca.
According to sasha, dvrk stepped down due to life commitments, while the team mutually parted ways with H0NeST due to role and playstyle clashes with Eric "Zucar" Zuccaro. Dvrk's exit marks a significant change for the roster, as he has been an integral member of the squad since 2023, consistently playing alongside Zucar and sasha.
Regain are set to make their debut in NSTLGA League Season 2 tonight, utilizing alumni Kyryl "fuzenko" Kotov and Eric "spud" Wickenhauser as stand-ins. The current roster now consists of Eric "Zucar" Zuccaro, Alexander "sasha" Burke, and Brennan "grape" Greer.
