duhpe leaves KODEX to recover after drunk driver incident
Raymon "duhpe" Carrillo has left KODEX to focus on his physical recovery after being struck by a drunk driver last week. The player cited both the need to heal from his injuries and differing visions for the team's future as reasons for his departure.
On August 29th, duhpe was hit early in the morning by a driver under the influence of alcohol. The accident left him with a broken scapula, bruised lungs, and a contusion on the back of his head. These injuries forced him to miss FRAG Midwest: St. Louis and caused significant physical discomfort while playing, prompting his decision to step away from the roster.
duhpe joined the squad, which was previously known as Foxtrot, on July 14th. During his time with the team, he helped secure a spot in the ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoffs after a 9-5 regular season. In the playoffs, he recorded 25 kills across Cache and Ancient in a 0-2 loss to For Fun.
With duhpe's departure, the current KODEX roster consists of Dalton "dopplahs" Hanley, John "Toasty" Hill, Nick "kenny" Gomulka, and Joe "JSP" Chmielewski.
