Colorful Meow X16 Pro: RTX5060 gaming laptop with orange cat design
Colorful has launched the Colorfire Meow X16 Pro, a gaming laptop that pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. The device stands out primarily for its orange and white cat-themed design, featuring a 3D cat pattern on the top cover and paw-print textures on the touchpad.
The new SKU is part of Colorful's Colorfire Meow brand line. While the hardware configuration is not positioned as a high-end flagship, it targets users who want a mid-range mobile gaming setup with a distinct aesthetic. The laptop combines the Zen 4-based AMD processor with the 115W RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. Together, these components can draw up to 170W of power, which Colorful manages with a cooling system consisting of two fans and four heat pipes. To conserve energy during non-gaming tasks, the device supports switching between discrete GPU mode and hybrid graphics mode.
Internally, the Meow X16 Pro is equipped with 16GB of dual-channel DDR5-5200 memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. An additional M.2 slot is reported to support PCIe 5.0 drives, offering an upgrade path for faster storage. The display is a 16-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2560×1600, a refresh rate of 180Hz, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. The laptop includes an 80Wh battery and supports 100W USB-C PD charging.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, three USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports. The display hinge opens up to 180 degrees, allowing the screen to lie flat. Colorful describes the finish as "Orange Shadow White," with orange accents throughout the keyboard deck and a pearl-like coating on the keyboard area.
Beyond the physical design, the laptop includes several software features aimed at convenience. Through the Smart Control ecosystem, the Meow X16 Pro can link with a smartphone, which can then be used as a presentation remote or a game controller. The device also features a dedicated low-power AI voice chip and an offline wake engine. This allows users to control power-on and automatic unlock via voice commands without an active network connection.
The Meow X16 Pro is currently available in China, where it launched on September 1. The price is set at 10,499 yuan, which is approximately $1,565. Colorful has not announced plans for a global release, and the laptop appears to be a China-exclusive product for the time being.
