ASUS confirms ProArt 16 RTX Spark PC for October 8 debut
ASUS has confirmed that its first ProArt laptop powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark technology will debut on October 8. The announcement was made via the company's official Chinese social media channels, providing one of the first concrete dates for an RTX Spark product.
Technical details of the RTX Spark architecture
Marketed in China as the ASUS ProArt 16 RTX Spark, the laptop is built around the NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X superchip. This hardware combines a Blackwell-class GPU with a 20-core "Grace" CPU. A standout feature of this architecture is the support for up to 128GB of unified memory, a significant specification for local AI workloads.
ASUS describes the device as the “world’s first agentic PC.” However, the phrasing “coming October 8” remains somewhat ambiguous—it is currently unclear whether this date marks a full retail launch, a formal product announcement, or the start of pre-orders in the Chinese market.
The RTX Spark ecosystem
This announcement aligns with NVIDIA's broader roadmap for RTX Spark Windows PCs. The company previously stated that systems from six OEM partners are expected to begin shipping in October 2026. Other manufacturers, including Acer and Lenovo, have already showcased designs utilizing this technology at IFA.
Microsoft has also confirmed its involvement in the RTX Spark ecosystem. The lineup is expected to include the Surface Laptop Ultra and the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. While Microsoft has indicated the Dev Box will be available in the US later this year, a specific retail release date has not yet been published.
