AMD lists Zen6 EPYC 9006 “Venice” CPUs, from 8 cores at $700 to EPYC 9996 256 cores at $14,904
AMD has published the complete product lineup for the EPYC 9006 series, codenamed Venice. The release includes 31 server processors based on the Zen6 architecture, split between nine SP7 processors and 22 SP8 models. Pricing starts at $700 for the 8-core EPYC 9016 and reaches $14,904 for the flagship 256-core EPYC 9996.
The EPYC 9996 Flagship and SP7 Platform Capabilities
The SP7 platform is designed for 16-channel DDR5 memory configurations. Leading the lineup is the EPYC 9996, which features 256 Zen6c cores and 512 threads. This flagship processor operates with a base clock of 2.55 GHz, a boost clock of up to 4.1 GHz, and 1GB of L3 cache. Its Default CPU Power is rated at 600W, with a configurable range between 400W and 600W.
The SP7 range also features high-core-count models such as the 192-core EPYC 9966 ($14,079), the 168-core EPYC 9846 ($13,114), and the 128-core EPYC 9756 ($12,498). Additionally, AMD offers three 96-core variants, including the EPYC 9686F, which reaches a boost clock of up to 5.0 GHz. The EPYC 9G76 ($11,622), used as a host processor in AMD Helios compute trays, is also listed as a standalone SKU.
Lineup Diversity and Pricing Tiers
Beyond high-end data center processors, the lineup includes more entry-level options. The most affordable model listed is the 8-core EPYC 9016 at $700. This variety indicates AMD's strategy to cover a broad spectrum of server workloads, ranging from basic compute tasks to massive, high-bandwidth multi-core systems.
