Team Vitality confirmed today that its iconic pair, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, have secured new deals with the organization. The extensions run until the end of 2028, ensuring the duo will represent the club for at least five more Major tournaments.

This move effectively locks in the services of three players for the next 16 months. With ZywOo's previous contract set to expire at the end of 2026 and Shahar "flameZ" Shushan's deal running until the end of 2027, Vitality has secured stability for its roster barring any buyouts or voluntary moves.

In an interview with HLTV, ZywOo described the decision as "obvious," stating he did not give serious consideration to leaving the French organization. "I think it was the most logical thing. I didn't even think about it, in my brain I was just, 'We're going to re-sign with Vitality.' I think it was just the most obvious re-signs ever," he said.

For ZywOo, Vitality is undoubtedly his most famous club as he has spent the entirety of his tier-one playing career with the organization. Similarly, despite stellar stints with G2 Esports and Envy earlier in his career, apEX finds himself in a comparable situation. Importantly, this may mark Vitality as apEX's final team as a player, given the Frenchman noted he will be "almost 36" by the end of 2028.
