WoW Midnight: Venomous Abyss Raid Finder Wing 3 Live
Blizzard Entertainment has unlocked the third wing of the Venomous Abyss Raid Finder in World of Warcraft: Midnight. The new content, titled The Serpent Warren, became available on September 1, 2026, following the weekly maintenance reset. This update introduces two new bosses to the eight-boss raid instance located on the Coiled Isle.
The Venomous Abyss is an eight-boss raid dungeon designed for level 90 characters. It features five difficulty modes: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, Mythic, and Story Mode. The minimum item level required to enter the Raid Finder difficulty is 273. The raid’s narrative centers on Zul’jan, who has freed the forgotten broods of Ula’tek from their prison. Players must descend into the Vaults of Atal’Utek to stop the shaman before he unleashes this ancient force of hatred and corruption upon Azeroth.

The Raid Finder content has been released in weekly increments. The first wing, The Soulcoilers, launched on August 18, featuring Nek’zali the Soulcoiler and The Twin Fangs. The second wing, The Essence of Venom, became available on August 25, introducing Entombed Sentinels and Vashnik the Malignant. With the September 1 update, players can now access The Serpent Warren, which includes the bosses The Lost Explorers and Sszorak.

The Lost Explorers are a band of tortollan possessed by spirits who have come to their senses near the sarcophagus of an ancient Soulcoiler. Trapped in the vault, they seek ancient artifacts to protect themselves from further possession by vengeful spirits. Sszorak is a horrifying creature warped by Ula’tek’s toxic venom. Acting as a brutal instrument of vengeance, it calls upon the winds that howl deep within Atal’Utek to tear apart any living creature it encounters.

The final wing of the raid, The Tomb of Ula’tek, is scheduled to unlock on September 8. This section will feature The Coiled Altar and the final boss, Ula’tek. At the Coiled Altar, the spirit of Malacrass commands Zul’jan to enact the final ritual to unleash Ula’tek on the Amani. Ula’tek herself is described as the great shame of the Amani empire, a weapon that proved to be as much of a threat as the enemy she was intended to destroy.

Blizzard has also detailed the achievement structure for the raid. Achievements are available across all difficulties, including specific challenges for Normal, Heroic, and Mythic modes. For example, the No Egg Scramble achievement requires defeating Ula’tek before the Greasy Hatchling breaks, rewarding players with the Ula’took companion pet. Mythic difficulty achievements include defeating each boss on that tier, with the final boss drop offering the title Venom’s End. The Hall of Fame: Ula’tek achievement is reserved for the first two hundred guilds worldwide to defeat Ula’tek on Mythic difficulty, granting the title Famed Slayer of Ula’tek.

Additionally, the raid contributes to the Midnight Season 2 class armor sets. Each class has a unique set name, such as Baleful Grave-Knight’s Crucible for Death Knights and Abyssal Doomhound’s Pursuit for Demon Hunters. Players can view the complete list of loot, boss abilities, and armor set details in the Adventure Journal, accessible via the Shift-J key combination.
