Ubisoft will launch its own Anti-Cheat in Rainbow Six Siege with Y11S3

Ubisoft has announced plans to deploy its proprietary anti-cheat solution, Sentinel, within Rainbow Six Siege. The system is being developed by Ubisoft Security, with implementation scheduled for the beginning of Y11S3.

Currently, Rainbow Six Siege relies on the third-party tool BattlEye to combat cheating on PC. The company intends to fully replace this external solution with its own technology. According to Ubisoft, maintaining a third-party anti-cheat introduces significant technical challenges and financial costs.

Moving to an in-house system will allow the studio to independently refine protection technologies without relying on external vendors. The removal of BattlEye will occur once Sentinel can independently provide the required level of process protection. In the future, Sentinel is planned to become the sole anti-cheat system across all Ubisoft games.
