Sapphire launches Radeon RX 9070 XT Valor Mortis Edition

Sapphire has unveiled a special edition of its Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+, dubbed the Valor Mortis Edition. This release features artwork inspired by the upcoming horror title Valor Mortis from One More Level (the developers behind Ghostrunner) and includes a game code redeemable via AMDRewards.com.

Design and Build Features

The Valor Mortis Edition is built upon the Nitro+ OC platform, maintaining its core design while adding thematic elements. The game's imagery is featured on the fan hubs and the Quick Connect MagniPlate backplate. A notable design choice is the concealment of the 12V-2×6 power connector; a magnetic backplate hides the cable to ensure the custom paint job and addressable RGB lighting remain unobstructed. To support older power supplies, Sapphire includes a 12V-2×6 to triple-8-pin adapter in the box.

The card utilizes a 3.2-slot cooling solution, with physical dimensions measuring 330.8 x 128.5 x 65.68 mm.

Technical Specifications and Cooling

In terms of performance, the Valor Mortis Edition is identical to the standard Nitro+ OC models. It is powered by an RDNA 4 GPU with 64 compute units running at up to 3,060 MHz. The card is equipped with 16GB of 20Gbps GDDR6 memory via a 256-bit bus.

The triple-fan cooling system has proven highly efficient in testing. The non-OC Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT maintained temperatures of 59°C under load while keeping noise levels at a quiet 36dB, highlighting the card's thermal and acoustic performance.

Availability

The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Valor Mortis Edition is expected to be available through select retailers later in October 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.
