Liquid dominate Wildcard to secure first LAN trophy in seven years at FML 2
Liquid have claimed the iBUYPOWER Masters fl0m's Mythical LAN 2026 title after a flawless run through the North American event. The team secured the $12,500 first-place prize without dropping a single map during the tournament.
This victory marks a significant milestone for the organization, representing Liquid's first LAN trophy in Counter-Strike 2 since 2019, when the Intel Grand Slam 2 squad was at its peak. Entering the LAN as favorites, the new roster lived up to the hype, progressing through the groups with wins over Chicken Coop and NRG.
In the playoffs, Liquid faced M80, securing a 2-0 series with a 16:13 win on Cache and a dominant 13:2 on Anubis. They carried that momentum into the grand finals against Wildcard, closing out the series with convincing wins on Inferno (13:3) and Anubis (13:9).
The individual performances were equally dominant. Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa earned the MVP award with a 1.44 rating across eight maps. Furthermore, four members of the Liquid roster finished within the top five of the tournament's highest-rated players.
