malbsMd: "Jorko is just a kid; he still needs to learn"
Liquid have found their rhythm at iBUYPOWER Masters fl0m's Mythical LAN 2026. Following their victory over NRG in the group stage, Mario "malbsMd" Samoya opened up about the team's new era and the integration of their latest signings.
While the series against NRG wasn't a total blowout, malbsMd expressed satisfaction with the performance, particularly on Mirage, where he felt he was able to showcase his full potential. After sitting out previous matches, the Guatemalan rifler noted that his return has helped the team find their stride, though he admitted that watching from the sidelines while the team struggled was difficult.
The conversation turned to the recent roster changes, specifically the leadership of JT and the addition of Bulgarian AWPer Georgi "Jorko" Mitev. malbsMd described Jorko as a talented but unrefined prospect who still has much to learn. He noted that while the young sniper is still developing, his energy and passion for the game are evident. To support this growth, malbsMd and EliGE have been taking the rookie under their wing to share their years of experience in Counter-Strike 2.
Looking ahead to PGL Singapore, malbsMd remained focused on realistic milestones. After failing to make the playoffs at the last Major, the primary objective for Liquid is to progress past Stage One. For the current FML event, the team's momentum continues as they advance to the grand final to face Wildcard after defeating NRG in the semifinals.
