HyperX Unveils SoloCast 2 Pro with Dual Capsules and New SoloCast 2 Frost Colorway
The HyperX microphone lineup is expanding. The company has announced the SoloCast 2 Pro, an upgraded version of its compact USB microphone, and a new Frost colorway for the existing SoloCast 2. Both models are scheduled to hit the market on October 30.
SoloCast 2 Pro: Enhanced Audio Capture
The SoloCast 2 Pro (HXR-C96GRAA) serves as the premium successor to the 2025 SoloCast 2. The most significant hardware upgrade is the inclusion of two 14mm electret condenser capsules. Protected by an internal suspension system, these dual capsules are designed to provide clearer and more stable cardioid pickup across the entire frequency range.

Beyond the hardware, the Pro model introduces advanced digital signal processing. An onboard DSP allows users to save settings for dynamic range compression and frequency filtering directly to the microphone. Key features include:
- A 3.5mm audio output for real-time headphone monitoring;
- An RGB light ring for visual level monitoring;
- A tap-to-mute sensor;
- USB Type-C connectivity supporting up to 192kHz / 32-bit sampling rates.
The device retains the integrated stand from the previous generation, featuring both 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch mounting threads. The black version is priced between 12,980 and 14,480 yen.
SoloCast 2 Frost: Aesthetic Update
For users seeking a new look without the extra processing power, HyperX is releasing the SoloCast 2 in a Frost colorway. This model is identical to the standard black version in terms of performance, featuring an internal shock mount and pop filter, with USB Type-C support up to 96kHz / 24-bit. The Frost edition is expected to retail for 8,980 yen.
