Diablo IV 3.1.0: What to Check After the June 30 Patch
After 3.1.0, do not rebuild blindly; test the changes step by step.
1. Confirm That the Client Is on 3.1.0
Before drawing conclusions, make sure the game is actually on 3.1.0 Build #72578. The patch launched on June 30 for all platforms, but it is still worth checking the version before testing.
2. Enter Ruptures Without Old Expectations
Ruptures received several pacing changes: more elites, more frequent tears, quicker closing, and tears that can move around the area. Your first test should focus on activity rhythm, not just damage.
- Compare time between meaningful fights.
- Watch whether you still wait for targets too often.
- Do not rebuild after one run; map and pack density can affect pacing.
- If you play in a group, check whether everyone can handle the new tear pace.
3. Do Not Scrap Unique Items Before Testing
Light's Rebuke, Ward of the White Dove, and Red Sermon received numerical buffs, while Judicator Oath changed how damage after Judged works. If these items were sitting in your stash, test them before dismantling.
The patch note does not make any item universally best. It changes the inputs; your skills, aspects, activity pace, and playstyle still decide the answer.
4. Use the Higher Currency Caps
Obols, gold, and Gem Fragments now have much higher caps. That helps players who farm before a rebuild and do not want to clear resources just because a ceiling was too low.
Also check Jeweler gem conversion recipes. Requirements were reshuffled, so old conversion habits may no longer be optimal.
5. Build a Short First-Night Routine
A clean first evening after 3.1.0 is simple: verify the version, run Ruptures once or twice, test buffed items in familiar content, then work through currencies and gems.
