Alex "canezerra" Banyasz joins Sentinels
Sentinels have officially signed Alex "canezerra" Banyasz. The 18-year-old player returns to the professional VALORANT scene and will prepare with the team for the VCT Americas 2027 season.
Canezerra, formerly of ENVY—where he won Ascension Americas 2025—joins a revamped Sentinels roster. He follows recent additions Francis "OXY" Hoang and Brock "brawk" Somerhalder. The current lineup features Amine "johnqt" Ouarid, Francis "OXY" Hoang, Brock "brawk" Somerhalder, and Alex "canezerra" Banyasz.
The roster overhaul comes after a difficult VCT Americas 2026 campaign for Sentinels. The organization failed to qualify for any international events, finishing 9th–10th in both Kickoff and Stage 1, and was eliminated in the Stage 2 Play-In by KRÜ Esports.
