XBOX @ Tokyo Game Show 2026: Broadcast, Minecraft Dungeons II and FanFest Announced
XBOX is celebrating a major milestone in Asia with its presence at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Marking 25 years of global play and over two decades in Japan, the platform will host a special broadcast, a dedicated show floor featuring Minecraft Dungeons II, and XBOX FanFest Tokyo.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, XBOX is highlighting the significant role that Japanese creativity has played in shaping the platform for more than 20 years. The company continues to expand its partnerships with local developers and publishers, reflecting the region's growing importance to the ecosystem.
The main event will take place on Thursday, September 17 at 7:00pm JST (3am Pacific / 6am Eastern / 11am UK). The XBOX Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast will be hosted by Misuzu Araki and will feature exclusive content, new gameplay reveals, and moments created specifically for the stage. Viewers can tune in via the official XBOX channels or watch the live stream on Tokyo Game Show’s official YouTube channel.
The broadcast will include American Sign Language (ASL) and English Audio Descriptions (AD). Following the main event, language support will be added for Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Māori, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Mexican Spanish, Castilian Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. Note that the audio track is a mix of Japanese and English, so captions are recommended for optimal viewing.
For those attending in person, the Tokyo Game Show show floor will feature Minecraft Dungeons II. Following its debut at gamescom, this co-op dungeon crawler arrives at TGS for the first time in Japan. Fans can get their hands on the game day one with XBOX Game Pass on September 29, 2026.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will also be present at the show floor, brought by partner Happinet. This allows fans to experience the highly anticipated Multiplayer mode ahead of its global launch on October 23, 2026. Visitors can find Call of Duty and other titles at XBOX FanFest Tokyo, located in Hall 6, booth 06-N4.
The event will also feature a return for the beloved XBOX TGS cat. In Japan, black cats are considered symbols of good luck. For 2026, the mascot will take center stage with a new silhouette design: a solitary figure striding across an iconic Tokyo crossing beneath a green skyline, marking each step of XBOX's 25-year journey. Fans can vote to name the cat via social channels.
XBOX FanFest Japan will kick off the festivities on September 17 with a watch party for the broadcast. Special guests Misuzu Araki and Larry Hyrb will join the local community for exclusive experiences and unforgettable moments. Follow #TGS2026 and @XBOX_JP for the latest updates before, during, and after the show.
For co-streamers and content creators, XBOX appreciates efforts to share the broadcast but notes that glitches or disruptions by bots cannot be guaranteed. Those planning post-show Video on Demand (VOD) breakdowns are advised to avoid using audio containing copyrighted music to prevent automated bot actions.
