Xbox Celebrates 25 Years with New Gear, Community Designs and FanFest Tour

Microsoft celebrates 25 years of XBOX with a major announcement on August 24, 2026, unveiling new merchandise, community art, and the full schedule for the global FanFest Tour.

To mark this milestone, Microsoft is launching XBOX Gear, a dedicated hub at gear.xbox.com for official branded merchandise. The collection features three new lines: Gloss, Est.01, and Blood Gulch. These ranges cover essential brand items, historical tributes, and design-forward apparel that explores new creative territory. Additional drops are already planned to continue celebrating the moments and memories that shaped the platform over the last quarter-century.

Recognizing the vital role of creators, XBOX is partnering with community members Klobrille and Ben Kenobi to release a collection of gamerpics, backgrounds, and a dynamic theme for consoles. These designs are available immediately via the console profile settings or the PC app under 'Customize profile'. The team invites fans to share their own creations by tagging @XBOX with #XBOX25.

All players can claim the XBOX 25th Anniversary Badge starting today. By signing into their account on console, PC, or the mobile app, users will receive this profile badge ahead of the official anniversary date of November 15, 2026. The badge remains available through the end of the year and can be displayed on any user profile.

On the software front, XBOX Game Pass is introducing specially curated collections that bring together memorable titles from legendary franchises across every generation. Players can relive classics from the original XBOX, journey through favorites on XBOX 360 and XBOX One, or experience them on XBOX Series X|S. The lineup includes beloved titles such as Fable Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Fallout 4, and Psychonauts 2.

The XBOX FanFest Tour continues its global run with confirmed dates across multiple cities. Following the events in Los Angeles and Cologne at gamescom, the tour will visit Tokyo on September 17 during the Tokyo Game Show, London on September 26, and Mexico City and Sydney on October 17. The schedule concludes with stops in Toronto on November 6 and Seattle, where more details are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets for every stop will be awarded through city-specific sweepstakes available on the official "XBOX.com" FanFest page. Fans can enter to win a chance to attend these events built around connection, local community, and the games they love. For more updates, news, and exclusive experiences, visitors are directed to the dedicated 25th Anniversary hub at XBOX.com.
