World of Warcraft Hotfixes: Class and Raid Balance Adjustments

Blizzard Entertainment has issued a new round of hotfixes for World of Warcraft, covering a wide range of content including Midnight, the The Venomous Abyss raids, and classic versions like Mists of Pandaria Classic and Burning Crusade Classic. These updates aim to fix mechanical bugs, adjust raid difficulty, and fine-tune class balance.

Significant adjustments were made to raid encounters. In The Venomous Abyss, several bosses received nerfs: Sszorak saw a 20% reduction in Tempest damage on Heroic and Mythic difficulties, while Twin Fangs received a 20% damage reduction for Corrosive Spit on Mythic. The Coiled Altar also saw adjustments, including reduced damage from Venom Rupture and Mutagenic Venom, alongside changes to the cast time of Wail of Terror. For Ula’tek, developers adjusted damage values and spawn rates for various mechanics across all difficulties, including Raid Finder.

Class balancing saw major updates, particularly for Frost Death Knight, which received significant damage buffs to Howling Blast, Obliterate, and Frost Strike to improve single-target performance. Demon Hunter (Havoc) received a 4% general damage increase (excluding PvP), while Vengeance saw defensive buffs, including improved mitigation from Demonic Wards and increased healing from Fel Devastation. Additionally, various bugs affecting Hunter, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman mechanics and visual effects were resolved.

Beyond combat, the updates included quality-of-life and economy changes. In The Burning Crusade Classic, Arena Season 2 gear can now be purchased at a discounted honor cost from vendors in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. The Prey mode was also updated, allowing players to receive 500 Corrosive Coin daily on each character after reaching rank 6 in Preyhunter's Journey. Other fixes addressed achievement tracking, quest progression in Delves, and issues within the Housing system.
