Valorant Season 2026 Act 4 Overview

Season 2026 Act 4 in the game Valorant officially launched on June 24, 2026 for most regions. This major update brings new mechanics, maps, and game modes available in both competitive and casual matches. The update includes the new map Summit, a new format called Retake, the season battle pass, and the premium skin pack Blackspyre Collection. For players returning after a break or those wishing to start the season fresh, the relevance of these changes is particularly high.

New Map Summit

The central element of the update is the new tactical map Summit. It becomes available in the Competitive Queue immediately upon launch. The map features a unique mechanic: three droppable walls are installed on Sites A, B, and Mid. Once an agent activates a wall, it stays down until the round ends, allowing players to change sightlines and make rotations difficult for opponents.

It is important to note the temporary limitations for the new map. During the first two weeks after launch, losing RR on the Summit map accounts for only 50% of the usual value. This is done to reduce the pressure on players while they learn new mechanics and routes. Additionally, a queue specifically for the Summit map is available during the launch week, operating on Swiftplay principles, allowing players to study new paths without risking their rank.

New Mode Retake

The second significant change is the introduction of a new mode called Retake. This is a 3v3 format that starts immediately after the spike is planted. Unlike standard matches, there is no lengthy preparation phase; action begins instantly. Teams switch sides after every round, requiring quick adaptation and clear tactical understanding.

The main objective in this mode is to either defend the planted spike or defuse it. The match continues until a certain score is reached or round conditions are met. This mode is ideal for practicing clutches and using utility in tense situations. Players can use it as an effective warm-up before competitive matches.

Battle Pass and Blackspyre Collection

The seasonal battle pass Act 4 is available for purchase. The paid track costs 1,000 VP (in-game currency). Purchasing it grants access to additional rewards, including skins and items.

Separately, the premium pack Blackspyre Collection is highlighted. This set includes skins for the following weapons: Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre, and Ares. Additionally, the collection includes the melee weapon The Divide. These items are available as part of the collection and are sold as a separate collection.

Competitive Mode Changes

The largest confirmed change for competitive mode is the availability of the map Summit. It is included in the queue immediately after release. Riot Games also introduced temporary rank protection: losses on the new map will be lower during the first two weeks to give players time to adapt.

No specific agent balance changes are confirmed for this act. No other confirmed agent or weapon balance changes are listed in the source material.
