VALORANT Patch 13.06: New Warden Rifle, Agent Mastery, and Gauntlet: Glitched Mode
Riot Games has released patch 13.06 for VALORANT, bringing a suite of major updates to the tactical shooter. The update introduces the Warden rifle, the new Agent Mastery progression system, and the temporary Gauntlet: Glitched mode. Additionally, the developers have replaced ACS with a new metric called Performance Score and overhauled the client interface by merging the main screen and the lobby.
New Metrics and Player Progression
A significant shift in competitive measurement is the replacement of Average Combat Score (ACS) with Performance Score. Ranging from 0 to 500, this metric evaluates players based on kills and damage as well as other impactful actions. Performance Score is now the deciding factor for MVP status and leaderboard rankings in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Premier modes. To assist player development, the end-of-match screen now details the factors contributing to the score and suggests areas for improvement.

The update also introduces Accolades, an achievement system that tracks a player's best performances within the current act and throughout their entire career. These accolades are visible on the results screen and within the Competitive Hub. The Career section has also been updated to provide a quick overview of frequently used agents, match history, and current rank. Furthermore, the Competitive Hub now features Rank Legacy, allowing players to track how many times they have reached new peak ranks across different acts.
The agent progression system has undergone a complete overhaul with the introduction of Agent Mastery. Each agent now features a dedicated progression track with levels for the current act and a permanent all-time level. Players earn Mastery Points through matches played with their selected agent. Reaching levels 4, 7, and 10 within an act unlocks Portrait Accents for the agent's profile. The all-time level grants access to the Reward Track, where players can use Kingdom Credits to unlock customization items and Agent ID elements.
New Weaponry and Temporary Gameplay
A new automatic rifle, the Warden, has joined the arsenal. Priced at 2,900 credits—the same as Vandal and Phantom—it is designed for long-range engagements and comes equipped with a 2x scope. The Warden features an 18-round magazine and deals 200 damage to the head.

For a change of pace, the temporary Gauntlet: Glitched mode is now available. This 2v2 mode features eight duos battling on specialized arenas using hybrid robotic versions of agents. Players can assemble custom skill sets by selecting random abilities between rounds. A unique mechanic allows abilities to be upgraded to the third level, with the second level potentially granting a random
