Usual June to arrive on Xbox Series
The supernatural third-person action-adventure Usual June is coming to Xbox Series. Developer Finji announced that the game will launch on January 20, 2027, alongside its previously announced Steam release. The PC version will also be available via the Microsoft Store.
Set in the city of Fen Harbor, the story follows a mystery threatening to destroy the entire town. Players will interact with a cast of 25 characters, utilizing the photographic memories of the dead and the ability of the living to touch objects to uncover the truth before time runs out and the ghosts vanish.
Gameplay in Usual June focuses on exploring diverse locations, such as secret labs, abandoned train stations, and a mysterious other world. The combat is described as fast and fluid, featuring dashing, dodging, parrying, and super moves. Players can customize their loadout and fighting style by equipping items, while leveling up grants new powers that come with their own inherent costs.
The project is led by creative director Adam Saltsman (Overland, Canabalt). The creative team also includes writer David Pinckney, BAFTA winner Cara Ellison, and BAFTA-winning audio director Adam Hay.
