Until Dawn 2 launches January 28

Until Dawn 2 launches on PS5 on January 28, 2027, with pre-orders opening September 10. Developed by Firesprite Games in partnership with AdHoc Studio, the sequel follows the ghost-hunting YouTube crew Dead True as they investigate a mysterious island, where every choice determines who survives.

The story is crafted in collaboration with AdHoc Studio, the team behind Dispatch. Players can expect a narrative focused on complex characters, sharp dialogue, and high-stakes decisions that lead to dramatic consequences. The plot centers on the Dead True team, including their chicken companion, as they explore Akishima Island, a remote South Pacific location abandoned since the 1970s.

In the pre-order trailer, the crew investigates Blackwood Sanitorium to document events from 12 years prior. New intern Izzy, voiced by Sarah Catherine Hook, discovers unexpected secrets that disrupt the group's plans. Later, at HorrorCon in Sydney, they meet Yoona, voiced by Gia Kim, a survivor of a supernatural attack who warns the team about the island's ancient and vengeful secrets.

Key characters face critical branching choices. Owen, voiced by Dacre Montgomery, must decide whether to follow a signal to help his missing friend Nate, voiced by Spence Moore II, or investigate a lively bar across a rickety bridge. Meanwhile, Mina, voiced by Camila Senna, is pressured by her network to perform a live ritual sacrifice, forcing a choice between sacrificing the chicken or risking her own blood.

Pre-orders for the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions open on September 10. Early buyers unlock exclusive Dr. Hill-themed content, including a classic outfit, an Akishima Island holiday outfit, and in-game collector’s bobbleheads. Dr. Hill, voiced by Peter Stormare, returns in the sequel.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack, which allows players to dress all eight members of Dead True—Owen, Mina, Nate, Reagan, Izzy, Luke, Josie, and Cameron—in vibrant neon costumes. It also features the Diorama of Death, a collection of vignettes that explore unique angles of each fatal outcome.
