TUXEDO launches Linux mini-PC with Intel Panther Lake and up to 128GB DDR5
German PC manufacturer TUXEDO Computers has launched the Nano Pro Gen15, a compact Linux desktop powered by the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor. The system is built on the Intel Panther Lake architecture and features 16 CPU cores (4 Performance, 8 Efficient, and 4 Low Power Efficient). It also includes Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics with 12 Xe3 cores and a maximum GPU clock of 2.5 GHz.
A key feature of the Nano Pro Gen15 is its upgradeable memory. While Intel's official specifications for the Core Ultra X7 358H list support only for LPDDR5X-9600 with a maximum capacity of 96GB, TUXEDO has equipped the device with two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots. This allows for up to 128GB of dual-channel memory at speeds up to 7200 MT/s, exceeding the manufacturer's published limits for the processor, though TUXEDO has not explained how this configuration is achieved.
Connectivity and Display Output
The compact chassis measures 110 × 117.5 × 49 mm and weighs approximately 1 kg. It features two M.2 SSD slots: one supporting PCIe 5.0 x4 (for 2242/2280 drives) and another supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 (for 2242 drives). Connectivity options include a 40Gbps USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port, a 20Gbps USB-C port, three 10Gbps USB-A ports, dual 2.5GbE connections, and Intel Wi-Fi 7. The mini-PC can drive four 4K displays simultaneously via two HDMI outputs and two USB-C connections.
There is a specific consideration for Linux users: the system is limited to HDMI 2.0b at 4K 60Hz under Linux, whereas Windows 11 supports HDMI 2.1 with up to 4K 120Hz. The device ships with TUXEDO OS or Ubuntu, though Windows 11 is available as an option. TUXEDO also provides its Control Center utility for fan management.
Pricing and Availability
Preorders are open in Germany starting at €1,749 (approximately $1,960), including 19% VAT. This base configuration includes 16GB of DDR5, a 500GB SSD, and TUXEDO OS. Shipments are scheduled to begin in mid-November.
