Thorin: Legacy should sign KSCERATO to ensure they're at the top of CS
Analyst Duncan "Thorin" Shields suggested in a YouTube podcast that Brazilian roster Legacy could attempt to sign star rifler KSCERATO in 2027. According to Thorin, such a move could solidify the team's position at the top of the South American scene.
During the podcast, Thorin pointed out that Legacy already possesses a roster capable of claiming regional dominance. He stated that Legacy is currently the best team in South America, noting a decline in 9z and positioning them ahead of FURIA. The analyst suggested that if KSCERATO's contract expires, a move to Legacy could be a strategic step for the player to compete for the world's top spot.
The analyst's comments follow a highly successful run for Legacy in Counter-Strike 2 throughout 2026. The team secured a major victory at FISSURE Playground 3, defeating G2 3-0 in the grand final to claim 300 тыс. $. Additionally, they earned a third-place finish at the Esports World Cup 2026 after defeating FURIA 2:1 in the bronze match, and took third place at IEM Atlanta 2026.
Earlier in May, Legacy won the CS Asia Championships 2026 by defeating Falcons 3-1, taking home a 400 тыс. $ prize. While the team struggled at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, finishing in the 12th–14th place bracket, they have since shown significant improvement. Currently, KSCERATO remains a member of FURIA, and there is no confirmed information regarding any negotiations between the player and Legacy.
