The Regreening Demo with Japanese Support Now Available on Steam
Positive Impact Games and ByteRockers' Games have released a playable demo for their upcoming title The Regreening. The demo is now available on Steam, and the store page confirms that Japanese language support will be included.
The Regreening is a simulation game centered around the concept of "soilpunk," where players focus on restoring life to desolate landscapes. The core gameplay involves replanting vegetation, discovering new seeds, and managing plant compatibility to rebuild lost ecosystems. As greenery spreads, the environment undergoes a transformation, triggering a ripple effect that brings animals back to the habitat.

The gameplay also features exploration and upcycling mechanics: players can collect scrap during their journeys to craft home decorations or irrigation systems for their plants. Additionally, the game features nature spirits inspired by Baltic folklore, assisting players can unlock new abilities.

The title has already built significant momentum, with over 7,300 participants across four previous playtests and more than 55,000 wishlists on Steam. The developers also announced that The Regreening will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest this October.
