Team Nemesis and 1w Team Exit PGL Wallachia Season 9
The latest round of PGL Wallachia Season 9 has seen its first eliminations. Team Nemesis and 1w Team have officially exited the tournament following their respective defeats.
The series between Team Nemesis and Natus Vincere went the distance. Team Nemesis took the opening map with a 29:20 victory lasting 44 minutes. However, NAVI bounced back on the second map, winning 28:15 to level the series. In the decisive third map, Natus Vincere secured a 29:22 win to close the series 2:1 and move forward in the lower bracket. Taras "gotthejuice" Linnikov led NAVI with a standout K/D/A of 10.7/2.1/8.5.
In another lower bracket clash, GamerLegion secured their survival with a 2:1 victory over 1w Team. After a dominant 35:12 win on the first map, GamerLegion dropped a marathon second map (39:38) that lasted over an hour. They regained their composure in the final map, winning 34:12 to complete the comeback. Francis "RCY" Fundemera recorded the best K/D/A for GamerLegion at 11.9/1.4/11.9.
Meanwhile, the upper bracket semifinals determined the finalists. LGD Gaming swept Xtreme Gaming 2:0 to advance to the upper bracket final, led by Hector Max "Wits" Orozco Alsa (13.3/0.4/11.5). In the other semifinal, Team Yandex defeated Aurora Gaming 2:1 to secure their spot in the upper bracket final. Arman "Malady" Orazbayev was the top performer for Team Yandex with a 1.9/1.9/2.6 K/D/A.
PGL Wallachia Season 9 is currently taking place in Bucharest, Romania, with 16 teams competing for a $1 million prize pool.
